foremost software package provides forensic program to recover lost files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install foremost
foremost is installed in your system.
Make ensure the foremost package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep foremost *
You will get with foremost package name, version, architecture and description in a table
